Environment Week: valuing nature is sustaining the future

THE Environment Week is a global action that takes place every year between June 5th and 9th. Its main objective is to raise awareness about the reality of our planet and how it depends on everyone's help to continue existing. And Fast could not be left out of this great action!

As a company that has sustainability as one of its pillars, all the solutions we offer our customers are developed to contribute to a more positive scenario. In addition, through internal actions, we encourage our employees to live this in their daily lives, so that environmental awareness is not restricted to the workplace, but at home as well.

In addition, we have fixed partnerships for the disposal of some waste, such as:

Can seals: APAE

PET bottle caps: NGO Friends of the Animals

Medicine blisters: Lions Club

Electronic waste: Lions Club

And you, do you practice sustainable actions in your daily life? Do you avoid waste and environmental impacts? We have provided the example of two colleagues and, below, tips on how to do your part to contribute to the environment.

Luana Holetz: “During this long dry period, we are washing the car at home with the water that comes out of the washing machine, using soap as normal and rinsing with water from the cistern.”

Stephanye Thayanne da Silva: “Knowing the great importance of sustainability, I adopted the use of stainless steel straws and reduced the use of plastic.”

  1. Save water

Reduce your shower time, save water when washing food and dishes, and only turn on the tap when in use. After using the tap, always check to make sure it is turned off correctly.

  1. Save energy

Turn off the lights when leaving the room, open the windows to take advantage of natural light and the outside temperature and never leave electronics on unnecessarily.

  1. Separate the trash

Separating your waste correctly is very important for the environment. Encourage people close to you to do the same.

  1. Reduce fuel usage

Replace your car with a bicycle whenever possible and share rides with people who go to the same places as you, such as coworkers.

  1. Reduce the use of paper and plastics

Swap plastic bags for eco-friendly packaging, avoid using plastic cups and don't overuse paper. Opt for scrap paper and recycled materials.

  1. Dispose of electronic waste correctly

Look for reliable places that can collect this type of material and offer proper disposal. Electronic waste should never be disposed of with regular trash, as it poses risks.

  1. Cultivate green areas

Prioritize green spaces near you. This ensures a better quality of life and cleaner air.
