In partnership with the construction company CFO, Fast will carry out the restoration work on Beira Mar Norte, located in Florianópolis (SC).
Although the city has a 100% sewage collection and treatment network, some factors such as disorderly occupation and high urban density cause rainwater to carry a high load of sewage, generating contamination that prevents swimming in the sea in the most populated area of the capital.
The aim of this project is to make the beach suitable for bathing, making it a social gathering point and another beautiful place for tourist visits.
Analyses carried out by CASAN's Effluent Laboratory show that approximately 200 meters from the beach, the water is already within the FATMA bathing parameters. This good water condition proves that the pollution in the Bay is concentrated, located near the storm water galleries. "Once these sources are resolved, bathing conditions can be restored," says engineer Alexandre Trevisan, from CASAN's Environmental and Water Resources Management Department.
Fast is proud to be part of such an important project for society in general and for the revitalization of the environment and is committed to making Beira Mar do Norte a more pleasant and healthy place for future bathers.
