Palm oil: savings of up to 30% of water used in the dynamic clarification process

A study carried out in 2016 in Bogotá, Colombia, verified the quality of palm oil extracted through Fast's dynamic clarification process, with the aim of analyzing improvements in the olive oil extraction process through technologies that allow for the reduction of losses and the improvement of the efficiency of the procedures.

The study, carried out over 6 months of analysis of the operation of a Tridecanter, shows that with the dynamic clarification process it is
possible to reduce by up to 30% the water used in the dilution stage. Furthermore, it was found that the quality of the oil obtained through dynamic clarification is better, as it has a lower degree of impurities and humidity, reaching levels of 0.1 to 0.25% for humidity and 3.3% for AGL.

The study concluded that the use of the dynamic clarification process allows for increased operational efficiency and reduced water pollution load in relation to solids, fats and oils, also decreasing by up to 60% the amount of effluent to be treated. According to the indicators, there is an improvement in the quality of the palm oil obtained.

This is another example of Fast technology that increases productivity and reduces the impact on the environment!
