On Wednesday (28) CASAN officially delivered the new Canasvieiras Sewage Treatment Plant (ETE), starting its operation. The plant was built in less than 10 months by FAST Indústria with the aim of enabling its operation for the 2016/2017 summer season.
The ETE is compact and has the capacity to treat 100 liters of effluent per second, being responsible for increasing the purification from 15 million to 25 million liters of sewage per day in the city.
FAST will continue training the team that operates the station and will monitor its first months of use. The ETE aims to treat effluents in order to ensure a peaceful season for tourists and residents of the Canasvieiras region.
