Construction of the Santa Terezinha Sewage Treatment Plant, in Canela/RS

Construction work on the Santa Terezinha Sewage Treatment Plant (ETE), which is being built in Canela/RS, began in 2019 and is progressing at a fast pace, with delivery scheduled for August 2021.

On July 23, the works were inspected at the site. On the occasion, Barbara Boesing dos Santos, an engineer from our company, and Caroline Ramos, an engineer from the Riograndense Sanitation Company (Corsan), explained that the plant will increase the city's sewage treatment capacity by four times.

The project, which is being financed by Corsan and executed by Fast, will become “one of the most modern sewage stations in the country”, according to Corsan’s expansion director, Julio Hofer.

At a value of R$24,497,450.00, the investment includes the supply, construction, installation and assisted operation of a compact prefabricated ETE. The station will have the capacity to treat 90 liters per second (l/s), through two modules of 45 l/s each. It will operate with the tertiary treatment system and have a BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) removal efficiency, that is, the amount of oxygen consumed in the degradation of organic matter greater than 90%.
