Our partner Epamig (Minas Gerais Agricultural Research Company) presented new equipment for the olive oil agroindustry during the Azeitech program, which took place on February 2nd, at the Company's Experimental Field in Maria da Fé, in the South of the State.

The equipment has our quality, after all, the equipment is produced by us.

The new extractor has the capacity to process 250 kilos of olives per hour. While the previous model, from 2010, has a capacity of 100 kilos per hour. This will allow us to perform more than twice the work in less than half the time. In addition, the new equipment has a vertical centrifuge responsible for eliminating water residue and solid particles before the decanter phase, which can greatly improve the quality of our olive oil.

“We must emphasize that this is a technology developed in Brazil by a company that is a partner in the development of the work. At Epamig, we have several exchanges of experiences with them for the development of research,” he says. Luiz Fernando de Oliveira, coordinator of the State Research Program in Olive Growing at Epamig.

“I am certain that this new equipment will add more quality to the olive oil produced by Epamig and to the services we offer to producers who do not yet have their own mills,” he adds.

Check out the repercussions it had in the media below.
